Aurora

Aurora Aksnes Born June 15, 1996, in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized as AURORA is a Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band to promote John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are among her most renowned covers. Katy Perry's praise for her song Runaway in a blog entry earned the artist additional praise. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering an attic piano and being awed by the sound it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes to pursue music for a hobby or as a profession. So she started making her own lyrics. She points to renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as inspirations, and also an appreciation for the style of Bjork. Her mom encouraged her to sing her songs in public, not for the sake of trying to be famous, but to help others realize how important they are and what they could do to improve the world. In the age of 6 she began to learn the piano and at nine was writing music. Her family didn't hear about it until she reached 14. The dream was never for her to achieve Aurora. The singer claims that she is a fan of writing songs. She believes that music is the best way to feel any emotion.
